If taking care of a family that has or is about to have a baby born still makes you uncomfortable, we understand.
Being the support person to a bereaved family is a huge responsibility that we bear as L&D nurses and birth workers. Our education in this field is lacking and this 4-hour class was created to help you take a deep breath and feel prepared to support these families.
You will hear real stories, learn tips to build rapport, what to say, how to give baths, do certain mementos, and how to take care of yourself.
Class includes 19 modules and a custom 44-page workbook.
This class was designed for Labor and Delivery nurses but any person can take and learn from it.
At the end of this course it is expected that the student can:
- List 3 causes of fetal death.
- Describe the stages of grief and when they happen.
- Create a plan of nursing interventions that should be done for this family.
This class is a portion of the Bundle Birth Nurse Mentorship program and you may hear the instructors mention the program. If you want to know more about that program, click here.
*6 CEs from the California BRN will be awarded upon completion of this class. Class access expires 365 days from purchase.
