*NEW* Transforming the Birth Experience:
The Art and Science of Patient-Centered Care (formerly) Live Colorfully Class
In today’s world of burnout, distrust, misinformation, rising patient expectations, and complex clinical realities, OB nurses are carrying more than ever. This class is designed to help nurses rediscover the art of nursing while improving the patient experience.
This inspiring and practical class explores how nurses can use their presence, communication, curiosity, bias interruption, active listening, respect, support, and shared decision-making skills to influence safety, trust, satisfaction, and outcomes. Through a broader look at the current state of obstetrics, the history that shaped where we are today, and the patient’s lifelong memory of becoming a parent, learners will be challenged and equipped to move from survival mode into meaningful, patient-centered influence.
The Transforming the Birth Experience Class was created for labor and delivery nurses, but also relevant for nurses across all specialties. This class will help participants see themselves not just as caregivers, but as powerful interventions in the patient experience.
