Jesús learned from his grandfather, who taught him to dye threads using natural materials like cochineal, indigo, and marigold. After an accident, family hardship, an earthquake, and several floods that destroyed many of their looms and threads, Jesús and his family continue their work with resilience and devotion.
When asked how people can thank him, Jesús said he does not want to become famous. He simply says to thank him by buying, so his family can eat.
